Review: Candy Boys

Candy Boys Candy Boys by Jo Raven
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What can I say about this book?

Candy Boys is different to what I'm used to reading from Jo, but I wasn't surprised to see that she nailed it, like she always does. One of the reasons I have been an avid follower over the past couple of years, is because of how much Jo has grown as a writer. I tell myself each time she releases a new book that this one is my favourite......... until the next one comes along.

I loved how different this one was, and how much fun it was to read. The humour, and her characters antics made me smile continuously as I read through it, but it also had me laughing out loud often as well. Of course there was a lot of sex involved, and Jo even managed to throw in some boy torture!!

The storyline itself is obviously not unique, but how Jo incorporates the blog that our lead girl Candy creates, is. An imagination can be a wonderful thing, and Candy's one is very creative - extremely hot, and explicit, but definitely creative. The whole crossing over from Candy's fantasy world, to her reality was extremely entertaining. You get to travel along for the ride to see whether Candy's boys, J1, and J2 mirror their fantasy selves, or if they were the complete opposite.

As a reader, you had no choice but to keep reading, just to see how it would all end.

This is a fantastic read and another great story by an amazing author.

Review: Playing Royal

Playing Royal Playing Royal by Misti Murphy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I can't express how much I loved this book and how different it is from what I have been reading of late.

This is the second book from the Vice Agency series that Misti has written and in it we meet Kaiser, a male escort. Kaiser specialises in making your fantasies a reality........ You want to be Cinderella for a night........ then the Vice Agency can make it happen. Kaiser plays the game, makes your every fantasy come true and then at midnight.... leaves.

But Kaiser is hiding a secret, one that he will have to stop running from......... soon.

Allie is a girl working nights behind a bar so that she never has to resort to asking her evil Stepmother for money or help. Every night, always at the same time a stranger comes into her bar, requesting the same drink, saying not a word.

The thing I love about Misti's books is they are not always way you presume them to be. There is always a twist, something to make it stand out just that little bit more than the rest. This novel is no different.

What starts out as a game slowly becomes real and as a reader you become drawn into Allie and Kaiser's world, their story. You become addicted to the words, wanting to ignore the world so that you can find out how their story will end.

A fantastic read and one I am going to enjoy recommending.

Review: Man of Honor

Man of Honor Man of Honor by Diana Gardin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was lucky enough to receive an advanced copy of Saved by the Seal from Diana and when the opportunity came along to read Man of Honor I jumped at it.

In this instalment we meet Drake Sullivan an ex army ranger who now owns his own mechanics shop. To start, we learn that his mother, who was an alcoholic for most of his life has died and he is attending her funeral. After he returns home he himself drowns himself in alcohol to forget.

We also meet Mea Jones, a girl with a dark, disturbing past who lives her life by a set of rules. Her rules are simple she has one night with a guy and that's it. She doesn't do dating. Her rules allow her control over her life, something taken away from her when she was a child.

These two connected during a very hot and steamy night many years prior, but once it was over Mea upped and walked out of Drake's room and subsequently his life.

When Drake's mother dies, Mea re enters his life attempting to help him from making the same mistake as his mother. When they reconnect, all the hidden feelings and chemistry between them resurfaces making this one hell of a story.

There are lots of secrets and twists that are slowly uncovered during the course of this book which makes it extremely hard to put down. It's a wonderfully written story of two people who allow themselves to believe that they are truly deserving of love and the opportunity to heal from the scars of their pasts.

You really need to grab a copy as you wont be sorry.

Review: Roofie

Roofie Roofie by L. Grubb
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

After reading Beast, the first of the MMA books by Lucii I was excited to find that this was another great read and addition to her new series.

Roofie tells the story of a boy who, in his infinite wisdom gets wasted and beds the one girl he actually has feelings for. As you can guess that was a disaster waiting to happen, but he has no idea what he has done wrong until it is pointed out to him.

This is a great love story about two people working their way through their feelings and misunderstandings to create something worth fighting for.

Throw in a slightly unbalanced mother and spoilt sister and it leads to an intriguing story line.

This was an awesome read and a great addition to Lucii's MMA series.

Review: Sugar Daddies

Sugar Daddies Sugar Daddies by Jade West
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

For me this was another exceptional read by Jade West. Although I have thoroughly enjoyed all Jade's books, this was somewhat different and an exceptionally hot read!!

Everyone has dreams, and secret inhibitions (maybe not like this, but you get my drift) that they want to explore or see happen and that's just what Sugar Daddies was all about.

The sex, well that's just a highlight of the story, but when you read past that, you really get caught up in what Jade is trying to portray. This is a well thought out and descriptive story of three people who are looking at the bigger picture and aiming for what their hearts desire.

I loved the storyline (ok and maybe the sex!) because it reminded us of what lengths some people will go to and endure to achieve their goals and inner most dreams.

This is a fantastic read and one I would highly recommend.

Review: BEAST

BEAST BEAST by L. Grubb
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was initially introduced to Lucii's writing through her MC novels, but was given this one for an honest review. Obviously, this is different from what I am used to but was extremely surprised with how well she nailed it.

Beast is a MMA fighter, a man who cares for nothing and no one, until he meets a fellow MMA fighter by the name of Carlotta. There was certainly no love at first sight with these two and there is a fierceness to both of them that we learn is from their harsh upbringings.

The love story between these two is unconventional, but extremely passionate and I love how real the story comes across. There is a reality to these characters that keeps you hanging on until the end, just to find out how it all ends.

I am not one for spoilers, but would highly recommend this book to anyone, it was well worth the read and I look forward to seeing what Lucii publishes next.

Review: Trinity

Trinity Trinity by M. Never
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the second novel that I have had the privilege of reading for M Never and once again I am extremely grateful!!
This is a male/male/female book and o.m.g what a ride........
Can I just mention, that it's probably not the best idea to read this one on public transport!!! I thoroughly enjoyed it, but the man next to me might have been a little shocked.... LoL

In Trinity we are introduced to Jennifer, a girl managing a run down restaurant / bar when she meets Shane and Chase. These two boys just happen to visit Jennifer's place of business on the night of her bestfriends combined hens / bucks night that she has planned.

Initially she misinterepts the relationship between Chase and Shane, until she ends up spending one night of passion with them both.

This is a highly sexual driven story that will knock the socks off you and have you sitting on the edge of your seat wanting to finish it. There isn't a scene in it that will disappoint, but it's not just all about the sex. What I loved about this story was the diversity of it. M not only writes a steamy sex scene, but she also tells a compeling story and that's what will keep me coming back for more.

It is an unconvention love story, but also a fantastic read and one you shouldn't miss.

Review: Six

Six Six by James Crow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What can I say, but wow! This novel which I believe is James's debut, is a must read.
It delves into the world of BDSM, and in an explicit sense but was extremely well written and intriguing.
What I loved about it was how it captured my attention, it was a book that I had to finish because I wanted to find out where the story lead.

I started this story meeting Emma Jane, a rich girl whose daddy is marrying her off to double the family fortune. When her aunt surprises her with a trip to escape the pressures of planning her wedding she jumps at it. Soon enough though she discovers the the plans her aunt has shared with her mother and what she has actually organised are two different things.

Fast forward to Jonathon, a man selling what he calls 'experiences'. An opportunity for his clients to pretty much explore their inner most dirtiness, to release their inhibitions. Everything about what he does and offers, is a carefully constructed plan, until Client number six walks through his doors.

Every little thing about the storyline and the characters is well constructed and written. It's hard to believe that this is a debut novel for James Crow and I will be looking out for his next instalment.

A must read!!

Review: Hawk

Hawk Hawk by Jo Raven
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

After being given the opportunity to review Caught - the prologue to this book, I greedily jumped at the chance to review Hawk for Jo Raven.

Have you ever had one of those books that just grabs you from the start? Well if not, go out and buy this one, because it will have you addicted from the very beginning!!

In the prologue we were introduced to Layla, a girl whose ex boyfriend decided he would choose a very public restaurant to break up with her - citing his reasoning as her being 'frigid'. That's where the very (sounding) Jamie 'Hawk' Fleming enters our little scenario! After over hearing what happens, he steps in to be the knight in shining armour.... thus leading to a relationship of no strings sex.....

Now to get to Hawk! This is a story that carries on from Storm, but one that can be read as a stand alone. In 'Storm' we learn of an organisation that Storm, Hawke and Rook's parents are aligned with and that our three boys are trying to escape.

To begin this story, we enter to learn that Hawk has been kidnapped - intentionally, by the organisation to draw out more information for the police. Needless to say things don't go to plan and he finds himself in a position that he hadn't counted on. Then enter Layla - Hot Body, who just happens to be visiting the warehouse owned by her father, that Hawk is being held hostage in.

This is a story full of suspense, action and of course hot sex!!

I'm not one who likes to give away spoilers but what I will say is that you will not be disappointed, it really is a well written story that will keep you on your toes until the very last word.

I would highly recommend this to anyone :)

Review: Caught

Caught Caught by Jo Raven
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow, what can I say about this one?

I was gifted Caught by Jo Raven for an honest review and once again she produced a book, or more so a novella that had me engrossed until the end. I won't deny that I was a little disappointed when it ended, until I remembered that it was to prologue to another awesome Jo book that I was about to receive.

This is very different from the Inked Brotherhood Series and a fantastic variation to her writing style that I really enjoyed...... and now it's time for me to read Hawk!!

Don't take my word for it, grab this one as you will not regret it xx

Review: The Way With You

The Way With You The Way With You by Anne Mercier
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Way With You is the second in The Way series by Anne Mercier and another great book! When I started this novel, I expected there to be drama, due to the slight cliff hanger at the end of book one. What I hadn't counted on, was how different it was going to be from what I was expecting.

When book one ended, we were briefly introduced to Cam's ex girlfriend Alison, who had also bullied Olivia in the past. You knew from that moment, that the next instalment was bound to be intriguing. As I delved into this book, Alison didn't let us down, she was nasty, conniving and vindictive and did everything she could to make Olivia's life a misery. What I wasn't prepared for was Cam and the direction his character took. To say I was shocked, is an understatement, but that's what I love about Anne's books. You should never just assume that they are going to be just like everyone else's.

What I loved about this book, that many probably wouldn't is the direction Anne took with how Cam and Olivia's story was going to play out.......... would they get through the drama and continue on their journey of love.......... or will the pressures of a pro football career and nasty ex-girlfriend doom them. Throw in a hot as best friend and it makes for a fantastic read.

Want to know more? Go buy the book, I don't believe you will regret it xx

The Way Back to Me (The Way #1) – Released Feb 23, 2016

the way back to me

She was perky, fun, and full of life—everything I hated about girls and their bullshit exterior. People called her bubbly; I called her “fake-as-hell.”

The edgy, dark, lonely girl in front of me was not the Olivia Brennan I knew from high school—far from it, actually. I knew the story—the whole town knew the story, we witnessed it all. It happened in the blink of an eye and the girl we knew was gone.

But I refuse to watch it anymore—I can’t stand it. I’m going to fix it—fix her. It’s time I showed Olivia Brennan her way back…

Back to the girl she used to be.

California Dreaming - Unedited Excerpt 💝

While I am waiting for this to be edited, I thought I would share a little excerpt for you from our boy Ben..........

Please note though, that this is an unedited and unformatted excerpt and is subject to change 💝

This boy is a personal favourite of mine!! :*

Ben

I cringed when Doreen told her husband to call DD. That cop has it in for me, thanks to his sister Krystal. Man that girl is trouble. I knew before I seduced her, that it was going to end badly for me, but I wouldn’t listen. She is hot, I mean seriously fucking hot. She is one of those girls, who uses her brother’s position as our local police deputy, to her advantage. Fuck with her and her brother will fuck with you. Like I said, I knew in advance what I was getting myself into.
I couldn’t help it though, she chased me.
The boys warned me to stay away from her. Fuck, even Luke told me to give that girl a miss, which should have set off alarm bells, because he hits anything in a skirt. Everywhere we went, she was there. Always in her tight as fuck tops, and short skirts. It’s like she paints her clothing on every morning, they are that tight.
My undoing came when she cornered me at a bon fire on the beach, at the beginning of summer. We were all drinking, and singing, sitting back, enjoying the warm summers night. When she sat down next to me, she was wearing nothing but a tiny bikini. My fucking eyes were bulging out of my head at the sight. I was hooked and she fucking knew it. That girl knew exactly what she was doing, and she played her part well. Just before sunset, and after a shit ton of beer, I had her naked in the sand dunes. I was covered in sand from head to toe, but none of that mattered. I was balls deep in her warmth, with her screaming my name.
The problem was, she wanted more and of course I didn’t. I got what I wanted, I was happy, but she told her brother what happened, and he has been on my ass ever since.
While we wait for Alex to arrive, we sit in silence. I am contemplating what will happen to us now. There’s no way we will know for sure, that the killer didn’t see our faces. I am quietly confident he didn’t, because it was pitch black where we were standing. I never saw his face either, which won’t help the officers at all. That whole laneway was black except for light shining over the doors. The illumination offered was only enough to help those entering, or leaving those buildings. We never got a good look at either of the two guys standing in front of us and for that I am grateful. The sight of him pulling that trigger and the other guy dropping will be etched into my mind forever. It’s a sight you just can’t unsee.
Gulping, I watch as DD walks in. The smug look on his face pisses me off, because he knows he has us now. He has been trying all summer to pin something on us, and this is giving him just the ammunition he needs. Not that we have done anything wrong. It’s just that, he is always saying the four of us are heading for trouble, and that he would be the one waiting when it happened. He is such a dick.
I have to smirk when his wise crack is attacked by Doreen, the look on his face was steely. He doesn’t like being challenged like that, he will no doubt make us pay for that when we reach the station. Saying our thankyou’s and goodbyes to Doreen and Bob, we follow officer dipstick out to his cruiser. He allows Stephen to sit in the front, and gets great pleasure shoving the rest of us in the back. I spend that whole trip back to the station in silence, like the others, except my gaze is concentrated on the streets outside. By now it is pitch black, the darkness finally encasing the whole town. I wonder if our mystery man is watching, if he saw who we were. More to the point, I wonder if they found the body yet?
By the time we get to the station, all our parents are in the waiting area pacing. All of them with worried looks on their faces. Making our way through the doors they rush us, engulfing us in massive bear hugs. It’s stifling, but comforting at the same time. When my mother starts crying, the realisation of the extent of trouble we are in hits home.
There’s no coming back from this, is there?

My Inspiration for the day!!

And where to next...........

Hello again!! Yes I am still here, but I have been quiet........
Why?? because life has a way of throwing curveballs at us that we are never quite ready for :/

Where to next........ that's a question I ask myself daily! Up until a month ago I was focused and new exactly how I was going to progress......... now unfortunately, I am playing a waiting game....

A waiting game for the good mind you, because I want my work to be portrayed perfectly this time, with no imperfections. For this to happen, I need to be patient 8|

So I have been throwing myself into my work with Books & Boys Book Blog and letting my fantastic new editor / PA time to wrap her head around what needs to be done :) All good things come to those who wait and I have three books that will be coming your way by the end of July
2016 🎉 🎈

Thanks to Courtney (my awesomely new editor ) we will be updating all platforms with a re-edited version of Heroes & Villains - California Dreaming 1

Promo work on this should commence by the end of May2016

Courtney and I will also be releasing my novella, the Prologue - California Dreaming around the same time to kick start our book tour.

This tells the story of my four boys Ben, Kyle, Luke & Stephen and what happened to them, to find them being relocated to Brooklyn.

This is also going to released FREE on all platforms for a short period of time as well.

Let's not forget book number two which I have no cover image for you at this time (but it's coming............) Sins of the Father - California Dreaming 2

This book will be released hopefully...... by the middle of July2016
This is the tale of Stephen & Sherlyn....... and I don't want to give away anything so I will wait until I have finished the Blurb before sharing. This continues on from book 1 and delves deeper into our boys and their girls <3

So stay tuned for so much more, and expect to be bombarded soon!!

Thanks for now.................. Stacey xx

Crave Me Blog Tour by M Robinson

BLOG TOUR
CRAVE ME
BESTSELLING AUTHOR M. ROBINSON
COVER MODEL MITCH MCKERSIE
COVER DESIGN THE FINAL WRAP
RELEASE MAY 10TH

SYNOPSIS

They say in order to find yourself you have to go home.
What if home was what you're running from?
Where did that leave you?
Always on the other side of the fence.
Always looking in.
Always wishing you were someone you couldn't be.
Until one day you meet her.
The one.
She was my high, but she was also...

My demise.

EXCERPT

Colors blended together making it hard to focus on one thing. I blinked a few times and just like that…
I saw her face.
As if she was standing right in front of me.
Smiling.
Happy.
Laughing.
My whole world…
My girl.
I felt my lips curl up slightly at the vision as I reached out for her. Wanting to touch her, needing to hold her, yearning to kiss her. Craving, God, craving to fucking love her.
“I’m sorry,” I murmured out loud to no one but the illusion of my drug-infested mind. “I’m so fucking sorry,” I repeated repentantly, longing for her to believe me.
Aching for her to love me again like she used to.
I don’t know how long I sat there, staring at her beautiful face before my eyes, subconsciously rubbing the tattooed key that was placed over my heart. I couldn’t take it anymore, and the desire won over the haze.
It was too powerful.
It was too vivid.
I grabbed my phone. “Baby,” I said into the speaker. The ringing quickly followed, going straight to voicemail. I hung up and tried again. “Baby,” I urged with desperation in my tone.
Still nothing.
I tried again and again and again.
I would try until the end of time if that’s what it took for her to answer.
To talk to me.
To save me.
To crave me.
Time just seemed to standstill, as my life slowly played out in front of me. Trying to balance in between the light and the darkness when all I could see was gray.
“What?!” she screamed into the phone, finally answering after I don’t know how many failed attempts. “What the hell do you want now?”
“Mi cielo.” I breathed a sigh of relief.
She ignored my term of endearment. I hadn’t called her that in such a long time.
My heaven.
“What do you want, Austin? Why are you calling me? We’re over! I can’t do this anymore!”
I shut my eyes and let my mind wonder, allowing it to go to another place in time where she didn’t hate me.
“I remember the first time I made you smile,” I chuckled, as if it had just happened.
My nerves were on fire. The mere sound of her breathing through the phone was too intense for me. I licked my lips, my mouth suddenly dry.
“I remember when you used to smile just for me. Do you remember, baby? Do you remember what my love feels like?”
I heard her faintly breathing.
“Do you remember my hands on you? My lips? My tongue? The first time I made you come with my mouth? Do you remember all the times since? Tell me I’m not forgotten. Tell me you remember, baby.”
Silence.
“I love you, Briggs. I love you so fucking much. You’re killing me, don’t you see that? I’m dying without you.”
“No, Austin. You were dying with me,” she rasped, knowing that it killed her to say that.
“The first time I saw your face, I thought to myself, damn, this beautiful girl is goin’ to be the death of me. You were perfect in every way. I was a cocky son of a bitch who needed you then, as much as I need you now.”
More silence.
“I had a dream about you, baby. I always fucking dream about you. In my dream you had a ring on your finger. A ring I put there. You belonged to me. Only mine. Forever fucking mine. You were pregnant, Briggs. You looked so goddamn happy. I saw light at the end of the tunnel for the first time in years.”
She sniffled into the phone.
“I made love to you. Slow, just the way you love. Taking my time to touch every last inch of your body. Memorizing every last bit of you. Making you come until you begged me to stop. I didn’t.”
“I can’t—” she tried to interject, but I didn’t let up.
“I kissed your stomach. Our baby. Letting my lips linger there, whispering sweet lullabies, letting her know daddy will always be there. Baby, it was so real. For a second I gave you the one thing you so desperately wanted, the one thing I can’t give you.”
