Review: Playing Royal

Playing Royal Playing Royal by Misti Murphy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I can't express how much I loved this book and how different it is from what I have been reading of late.

This is the second book from the Vice Agency series that Misti has written and in it we meet Kaiser, a male escort. Kaiser specialises in making your fantasies a reality........ You want to be Cinderella for a night........ then the Vice Agency can make it happen. Kaiser plays the game, makes your every fantasy come true and then at midnight.... leaves.

But Kaiser is hiding a secret, one that he will have to stop running from......... soon.

Allie is a girl working nights behind a bar so that she never has to resort to asking her evil Stepmother for money or help. Every night, always at the same time a stranger comes into her bar, requesting the same drink, saying not a word.

The thing I love about Misti's books is they are not always way you presume them to be. There is always a twist, something to make it stand out just that little bit more than the rest. This novel is no different.

What starts out as a game slowly becomes real and as a reader you become drawn into Allie and Kaiser's world, their story. You become addicted to the words, wanting to ignore the world so that you can find out how their story will end.

A fantastic read and one I am going to enjoy recommending.

Review: Man of Honor

Man of Honor Man of Honor by Diana Gardin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was lucky enough to receive an advanced copy of Saved by the Seal from Diana and when the opportunity came along to read Man of Honor I jumped at it.

In this instalment we meet Drake Sullivan an ex army ranger who now owns his own mechanics shop. To start, we learn that his mother, who was an alcoholic for most of his life has died and he is attending her funeral. After he returns home he himself drowns himself in alcohol to forget.

We also meet Mea Jones, a girl with a dark, disturbing past who lives her life by a set of rules. Her rules are simple she has one night with a guy and that's it. She doesn't do dating. Her rules allow her control over her life, something taken away from her when she was a child.

These two connected during a very hot and steamy night many years prior, but once it was over Mea upped and walked out of Drake's room and subsequently his life.

When Drake's mother dies, Mea re enters his life attempting to help him from making the same mistake as his mother. When they reconnect, all the hidden feelings and chemistry between them resurfaces making this one hell of a story.

There are lots of secrets and twists that are slowly uncovered during the course of this book which makes it extremely hard to put down. It's a wonderfully written story of two people who allow themselves to believe that they are truly deserving of love and the opportunity to heal from the scars of their pasts.

You really need to grab a copy as you wont be sorry.

Review: Roofie

Roofie Roofie by L. Grubb
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

After reading Beast, the first of the MMA books by Lucii I was excited to find that this was another great read and addition to her new series.

Roofie tells the story of a boy who, in his infinite wisdom gets wasted and beds the one girl he actually has feelings for. As you can guess that was a disaster waiting to happen, but he has no idea what he has done wrong until it is pointed out to him.

This is a great love story about two people working their way through their feelings and misunderstandings to create something worth fighting for.

Throw in a slightly unbalanced mother and spoilt sister and it leads to an intriguing story line.

This was an awesome read and a great addition to Lucii's MMA series.

Review: Sugar Daddies

Sugar Daddies Sugar Daddies by Jade West
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

For me this was another exceptional read by Jade West. Although I have thoroughly enjoyed all Jade's books, this was somewhat different and an exceptionally hot read!!

Everyone has dreams, and secret inhibitions (maybe not like this, but you get my drift) that they want to explore or see happen and that's just what Sugar Daddies was all about.

The sex, well that's just a highlight of the story, but when you read past that, you really get caught up in what Jade is trying to portray. This is a well thought out and descriptive story of three people who are looking at the bigger picture and aiming for what their hearts desire.

I loved the storyline (ok and maybe the sex!) because it reminded us of what lengths some people will go to and endure to achieve their goals and inner most dreams.

This is a fantastic read and one I would highly recommend.

Review: BEAST

BEAST BEAST by L. Grubb
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was initially introduced to Lucii's writing through her MC novels, but was given this one for an honest review. Obviously, this is different from what I am used to but was extremely surprised with how well she nailed it.

Beast is a MMA fighter, a man who cares for nothing and no one, until he meets a fellow MMA fighter by the name of Carlotta. There was certainly no love at first sight with these two and there is a fierceness to both of them that we learn is from their harsh upbringings.

The love story between these two is unconventional, but extremely passionate and I love how real the story comes across. There is a reality to these characters that keeps you hanging on until the end, just to find out how it all ends.

I am not one for spoilers, but would highly recommend this book to anyone, it was well worth the read and I look forward to seeing what Lucii publishes next.

Review: Trinity

Trinity Trinity by M. Never
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the second novel that I have had the privilege of reading for M Never and once again I am extremely grateful!!
This is a male/male/female book and o.m.g what a ride........
Can I just mention, that it's probably not the best idea to read this one on public transport!!! I thoroughly enjoyed it, but the man next to me might have been a little shocked.... LoL

In Trinity we are introduced to Jennifer, a girl managing a run down restaurant / bar when she meets Shane and Chase. These two boys just happen to visit Jennifer's place of business on the night of her bestfriends combined hens / bucks night that she has planned.

Initially she misinterepts the relationship between Chase and Shane, until she ends up spending one night of passion with them both.

This is a highly sexual driven story that will knock the socks off you and have you sitting on the edge of your seat wanting to finish it. There isn't a scene in it that will disappoint, but it's not just all about the sex. What I loved about this story was the diversity of it. M not only writes a steamy sex scene, but she also tells a compeling story and that's what will keep me coming back for more.

It is an unconvention love story, but also a fantastic read and one you shouldn't miss.

Review: Six

Six Six by James Crow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What can I say, but wow! This novel which I believe is James's debut, is a must read.
It delves into the world of BDSM, and in an explicit sense but was extremely well written and intriguing.
What I loved about it was how it captured my attention, it was a book that I had to finish because I wanted to find out where the story lead.

I started this story meeting Emma Jane, a rich girl whose daddy is marrying her off to double the family fortune. When her aunt surprises her with a trip to escape the pressures of planning her wedding she jumps at it. Soon enough though she discovers the the plans her aunt has shared with her mother and what she has actually organised are two different things.

Fast forward to Jonathon, a man selling what he calls 'experiences'. An opportunity for his clients to pretty much explore their inner most dirtiness, to release their inhibitions. Everything about what he does and offers, is a carefully constructed plan, until Client number six walks through his doors.

Every little thing about the storyline and the characters is well constructed and written. It's hard to believe that this is a debut novel for James Crow and I will be looking out for his next instalment.

A must read!!
